Regarding our Response to the Louisiana Face Covering Order

On Saturday, July 11, 2020, Governor John Bel Edwards ordered a state-wide mask mandate in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.

Therefore, we are asking our staff, members, and guests to wear a mask while on the church campus. Per the Governor’s mandate, anyone 8 years of age and older are to wear face coverings inside any building or space open to the public, whether indoor or outdoor. This includes when individuals are engaged in exercise indoors or when a physical activity outdoors involves being within six feet of others. Read the full proclamation here.

Currently, there are no changes to our Sunday worship format. We will ask everyone who attends, either during the 9:00 AM or the 10:30 AM service, to wear a mask while inside the building, with the following exceptions:

• A child under 8 years old is not required to wear a mask.
• Children under 2 years old should never wear a mask.
• Anyone with a medical condition that prevents wearing a mask should not do so.
• Anyone seated with household members or at least 6 feet from other individuals can feel free to remove the mask while seated.

Live-stream is still available at 10:30 am to those who prefer to worship with us from home.

For all other building use including Bible study and community event reservations, the mask mandate will apply as well as the capacity restriction to 50 people or less for gatherings other than Sunday worship services.

Our staff would like to encourage everyone during this time. We know that these days are difficult. With God’s Spirit in us, we have the hope of salvation and the power to love supernaturally. It is our hope that others will see Christ in us as we comply with these measures and share His goodness in every situation, despite the challenges we face.
